| Firefly is COBRA Commander's number one contract man. It is rumored that he took care of some personal family matters for him and has been on the payroll ever since. His fees are paid into a Swiss bank account and always payable in advance. Firefly's infiltration skills are legendary; no one has ever reported seeing him enter or leave any target area. He specializies in bomb-planting, arson, and booby-traps. His unique construction of these devices is so complex that they are impossible to defuse. His skills in cross-wiring, anti-tamper, and secondary timers have allowed him to achieve a "100%" success rate over the years. This record was eventually broken by G.I. Joe team member, Snake-Eyes. To avoid any future confrontation, he chose to move his operations to the Cobra Polar Base. He now focuses on sabotaging top secret, arctic research facilities, and uses Night-Creepers to steal their classified documents.
From G.I. Joe files: "Firefly is known as the 'Rembrandt' of plastic explosives. He continues to escape undetected, leaving only ashes of destruction in his wake."
Motto: "Destroyed overnight, or your next one is free."
| Toy Notes: Carded in a Toys 'R Us-exclusive Cobra Polar Force three-pack with Night-Creeper and Snow Serpent. Item #57068.

| FIREFLY has a long history with COBRA, going back to when the evil organization first began causing trouble. An expert in mountain climbing, he uses his skills to break into places that are supposed to be out of reach. He can scale a cliff or building as easily as a fly walking up a wall. He has highly developed reflexes and expertise in hand-to-hand martial arts combat, as well as being an expert with various weaponry and explosives. COBRA likes to use him when a single saboteur is needed to quietly break into a secured location and cause some trouble. He encountered the martial arts master NUNCHUK from the G.I. JOE team and, for the first time, had to escape before being captured. Now he longs to revenge [sic, should be avenged] himself for his humiliating defeat.

He is an expert in hand-to-hand martial arts combat as well as various weaponry and explosives. COBRA likes to use him when a single saboteur is needed to quietly break into a secured location and cause some trouble. FIREFLY isn't a guy who works well with others. In fact, no one knows what he looks like; he's known only by his work. He is out to get the G.I. JOE team in particular because they have ruined some of his best operations.
"I make my own way to get the job done."

| FIREFLY has been COBRA COMMANDER's primary source of demolitions and destruction since the group's inception. He performs jobs flawlessly and with untraceable precision almost every time - the few exceptions being when the G.I. JOE Team has been able to foil his plans. He still remains on the loose, his true identity a secret, ready to take on his next job. Those assignments have become somewhat rarer, however, and FIREFLY suspects some person or organization is trying to steal his business. Unfortunately for them, FIREFLY is more than capable of infiltrating the COBRA hierarchy itself to discover who this is... and eliminate the competition!
The only drawback to using FIREFLY is also the source of his code name: he takes far too much pleasure in causing his targets to burn, sometimes uncontrollably. He does display an impressive knowledge of incendiary and pyrotechnic materials such as magnesium, napalm, and white phosphorous, but over the years he may have come to enjoy his work a little too much!
From COBRA COMMANDER's Files: "It is financially unfortunate that I still need to pay FIREFLY for his services, but there are times when I need discretion; someone who won't yell 'COBRA!' every time something blows up!"
| Toy Notes: Bagged together with Tiger Force Firefly at the Operation Anaconda-themed 2003 Convention. Both figures are considered high-demand items.

|
| - head: Firefly (04/II)
- arms: Firefly (04/II)
- torso: Firefly (04/II)
- waist: Firefly (04/II)
- legs: Firefly (04/II)
| Accessories: black laser pistol with squarish barrel and trigger guard, and textured grip (new), black Uzi (82 Snake Eyes's), black submachine gun and stock (91 Dusty's), black flare gun (90 Stretcher's), black knife (03 Over Kill's), small red belt pouch with straps to attach to belt (new).
| FIREFLY has forgotten more about explosives and detonating devices than most so-called experts have ever known. He is also a world-class long-range rifleman and an expert in the field of close-range combat with a pistol and submachine gun. FIREFLY had a high enough degree of skill in martial arts to infiltrate the same ninja clan that produced STORM SHADOW and SNAKE EYES. All of these are merely physical skills. What makes FIREFLY especially dangerous is his shrewd tactical mind combined with absolute ruthlessness. Recently captured COBRA documents indicate that FIREFLY is an active participant in their top-secret venom program and has allowed DR. MINDBENDER to test new batches of the venom serum on him. If true, the COBRA saboteur is now twice as deadly as he was before.
"Some people regard explosive devices as instruments of political will. I just like to hear them go bang."

| FIREFLY has forgotten more about explosives and detonating devices than most so-called experts have ever known. He is also a world-class long-range rifleman and an expert in the field of close-range combat with pistol and submachine gun.

FIREFLY constructs bombs protected by cross-wired, anti-tampering switches so complex that they are impossible to defuse. He prides himself on having the latest technology to enhance his craftsmanship, such as compact cases of equipment ideal for all forms of elaborate and highly skilled sabotage.
