Sunbow's Lady Jaye wore her 1985 outfit without the hat, and with dark green gloves and pants and brown boots. She kept a knife strapped to her chest on the left side, attaching to a diagonal chest strap. Her backpack was a dark green cylindrical quiver filled with javelins. The episode Skeletons in the Closet revealed that Lady Jaye was related to Destro, and that episode also mentioned her file name.
In the DiC series, Lady Jaye wore a dark blue-green version of her 1985 outfit, again without the hat. In Operation Dragonfire her belt, chest strap, and knife were dark blue, but they were light green during the first season. Whereas the Sunbow paired Lady Jaye with Flint, they had no interaction in the DiC series since Flint's appearances were confined to the second season.

| Lady Jaye graduated from Bryn Mawr and did her graduate work at Trinity College in Dublin. She is an expert at covert operations, with a background as an accomplished actress and linguist. She can pass for a native in many nations, including France, Italy, Poland, Russia, Germany, Afghanistan, Spain, and Portugal. Although not one of the original Joes, Lady Jaye is nonetheless a prominent member of the team. Her skills as a personnel clerk make her one of the few people who can keep track of the growing roster of Joes, their various special assignments, and current assignment details. Her training is wide and varied, as befits a covert operations specialist. She is disciplined in a wide assortment of weaponry, from crossbows and javelins to rifles and machine guns. Lady Jaye is also Airborne and Ranger qualified, and graduated intelligence school at Fort Holabird. She has maintained a relationship with Flint, the Joe Team's warrant officer, although her professionalism and Flint's "attitude" have made for some occasionally rough edges in their relationship.
Airborne and Ranger qualified, graduated intelligence school Fort Holabird. Qualified expert: M-16, M1911A1 and reflex crossbow.
From General Hawk's Files: "Because of the nature of her specialty, that of covert operations, Lady Jaye doesn't always work well within a team environment. She is, however, a consummate professional, she is the best at what she does. On those rare occasions during off-hours when she does let her guard down, she is a remarkably friendly and pleasant person."

| LADY JAYE is one of the G.I. JOE team's premiere Covert Ops agents. While not a tenacious physical force like her secret beau FLINT, she can hold her own in a fight, even when only armed with her trademark custom javelins. More often than not, it is her Ranger training that comes into play, tracking enemy agents back to their lairs and lying in wait until she gathers the intelligence she needs. She can flawlessly impersonate the social behavior and languages of other cultures, a necessity when hunting down international conspirators and not knowing what country she will be in next.
Ordered by MAJOR STORM to infiltrate several of the world's most ruthless criminal organizations to discover the masterminds behind the sabotage of the Mobile Strike Headquarters, she has thus far only been able to turn up one name: "BLACK DRAGON." Apparently this man or organization is so secretive, and strikes such terror into the hearts of even the basest villains, that speaking any more about them would seal their fates. Will this lead be enough to bring this scum to justice before they strike again?
| Toy Notes: Boxed in a Convention-exclusive set with Lt. Falcon, Major Storm, Cobra Commander, Black Dragon, five copies of Swamp-Viper, and five copies of Black Dragon Trooper.

| Educated at Bryn Mawr and Trinity College Dublin, LADY JAYE brings a touch of class to the G.I. JOE team, along with a tough no-nonsense attitude, remarkable skills with edged weapons, and a left-hook with no mercy. Ranger qualified, she maxed the intelligence course at Fort Holabird and has taught Russian, Urdu, Polish, and Afghani at the Defense Language Institute. LADY JAYE doesn't believe in the wig and makeup school of undercover. She believes in becoming the subject by intense immersion in speech patterns, body language, and general attitude. Of course, getting all of that stuff right in impersonating somebody like the BARONESS doesn't amount to much unless she also has the right leather body suit and the correct pair of glasses.
"The acting comes easy to me. I've been doing it since I was a kid, acting out my fantasies, relating to imaginary friends, the whole bit. What comes hard to me is the climbing, shooting, knife-fighting, and getting into people's faces with fists and feet. That's the rough part about undercover work: when the acting stops, the firefight starts."

With advanced skills in cryptologic linguistics, signals intelligence, and electronic interception analysis, this graduate of Bryn Mawr and Trinity College has a tough, no-nonsense approach. She prefers to be in the middle of the action where her quick thinking and left hook can both be put to good use. When she's not on missions or analyzing intercepted communications and aerial photos to spot COBRA activity, she "relaxes" by repairing the weapons on tanks and fighting vehicles. She is qualified in electronic and mechanical repair and keeps the mechanisms in battle-ready condition. Her favorite part is testing the equipment once she's repaired it, using live ammunition fired at confiscated COBRA vehicles.
"Covert ops is all about attention to detail. I find the one little detail that COBRA overlooked, and use it to blow their whole operation wide open."
| Toy Notes: carded in a three-pack with two copies of Cobra Trooper and a reprint of Marvel #44. Item #13026.
