Notes: The Baroness's outfit in Sunbow's first miniseries was based on her blue uniform in the comic book (including green-tinted glasses); she did not yet have a figure. Thereafter, she wore her 1984 outfit, with a dark grey belt and gloves reaching nearly to the elbow. The segments of her leg armor were outlined in grey.

The DiC series gave the Baroness a dark blue version of her 1984 outfit, with light blue for her collar, belt, and outlines on her leg armor, as well as light blue gloves with red padding. Spy Troops and Valor vs. Venom used outfits loosely based on the 2002/II and 2004/I versions, respectively.

	The Baroness was the spoiled offspring of European parents who made sure that she and her brother, Eugen, had the best of everything in life. During the time of the Southeast Asian conflict, Eugen had abandoned his aristocratic lifestyle. Using the power and influence, he delivered medical supplies and other needed items into the war-torn region. On one tragic occasion, Eugen's sister, Anastasia, accompanied him on what would result in a deal gone bad. Eugen was fatally wounded just as another soldier burst in and apprehended the saboteurs. Anastasia, who had been in another room, believed that the soldier had destroyed both her brother and his supposedly peaceful contacts. This sent her on a course of revenge that would lead her into a life of international terrorism. She joined the ranks of COBRA rising to its top intelligence agent. The Baroness is a highly intelligent and ambitious individual, and often enjoys pitting Destro, her companion, against Cobra Commander even as they all plot the overthrow of G.I. Joe and the conquest of the world. 	The BARONESS has never made a move that has not been calculated to achieve one primary goal - her own self interest. The formation of the Crimson Strike Team exemplifies this behavior. In alliance with TOMAX and XAMOT, she formed an elite squad of VIPERS loyal only to its founders. Financial incentives provided by the Crimson Twins coupled with the powerful brainwashing of the BARONESS have created two lethal squads of Crimson infantry troopers, one squad led by TOMAX and the other by his brother XAMOT. By all outward appearances, the COBRA VIPERS are all that is desired by COBRA COMMANDER - powerful, lethal, greedy, and loyal to the COBRA cause of dominating the world! Yet the BARONESS has utilized her almost siren-like hypnotic techniques to train the VIPERS to obey only herself and if it meets her needs, the crimson twins. Brains and ambition are admirable attributes. However, when mixed with insatiable greed and a deep lust for power, the result can be lethal. BARONESS is that result. The Crimson Strike Team provides the lethal means to achieve her desired maniacal ends.
Variations: The prototypes were colored a pinkish fuchsia. The official run of the figure sets was the correct crimson color. Per Yojoe.com, the numbers were 250 fuchsia sets, 150 bagged crimson sets, and 500 boxed crimson sets that came with the Crimson H.I.S.S. The fuchsia set was only sold to those who also got one of the crimson sets. While more crimson copies were made, fuchsia copies tend to be more common on the secondary market.
Toy Notes: Boxed in a convention-exclusive set with Tomax, Xamot, and twelve copies of Viper. This figure is considered a moderately high-demand item, the true-crimson variant even more so.
