Sunbow's Jinx wore her 1987 outfit and had spiky black hair, and the dragon on her tunic was larger and centered on her chest. In the series, she only fought well when blindfolded or with her eyes closed. The Reel FX films made her a capable fighter whether blind or sighted, and used an outfit based on her 2004 figure.

"Don't underestimate Jinx. She has been to the Secret Mountain and studied the Seven Silent Forms with the Blind Master. She has the Eye That Pierces, the Iron Hand, and the Heart That Waits. She can see through your deception, batter aside your defenses, and dazzle you with the strength of her will."
| Variations: The 1993 convention release, dubbed "Undercover Jinx," had unique packaging, black hands and feet, and a large, simplified Cobra emblem on the chest, and came with her naginata and a hooded red cape. It is considered an ultra-high-demand item (over $100 before the end of the 90s). Unlike other convention exclusives, it is not an official release so much as an authorized custom figure. The convention filecard has the following text: "Jinx was recruited in May of 92 for an assignment at the October convention which was neutral ground for both Joe & Cobra. Due to headquarter orders her mission was aborted. The 17 member team which did attend, made history. In March of 93 she was shipped out to Burbank, CA to go deep undercover at the July convention. Rumors of terrorism by Cobra called for precautions. Joe contacts has arranged for Jinx to infiltrate Cobra as a Cobra! Suddenly her mission was on standby. She was so deep that even her contacts could not notify her of the confusion if she should proceed. Underestimate Jinx once and you don't get a second chance!"
| Toy Notes: Item #6480.
| Reissues: Reissued in mail offers 1990-1993 (Stop Cobra in Their Tracks, Escape from Doom, Secret of the Dark Lagoon, Terrifying Lasers of Destruction). A licensed custom Jinx was also issued on a low-quality, unsealed cardboard "card" at the July 1993 G.I. Joe Convention.

| AGENT JINX comes from the same ninja clan that produced both SNAKE EYES and STORM SHADOW. She is, in fact, the cousin of STORM SHADOW. After intensive training in the occult martial arts she came to the conclusion that her size and relative strength put her at a disadvantage in a combat situation. To overcome this lack, AGENT JINX worked on raising the craft of infiltration to an art form. She can bypass enemy listening posts, slip through their outer perimeter wire, worm her way past the sentries, avoid the infrared sensors, penetrate their command bunker, capture digital imagery of battle plans, and escape without being detected. If she can plant a delayed explosive charge in the officer's latrine that is considered a bonus.
"Being a ninja is twenty percent martial arts and eighty percent being plain good at sneaking up behind people."
