P.A.C./R.A.T.s

  • Green three-legged robot flamethrower, 4-wheeled robot cannon station, and treaded robot missile launcher, all used by G.I. Joe. Stands for Programmed Assault Computer/Rapid All Terrain.
  • Boxed equipment from spring 1983, originally sold separately as Flame Thrower P.A.C./R.A.T., Machine Gun P.A.C./R.A.T., and Missile Launcher P.A.C./R.A.T. Reissued as a set in mail offers 1985-1986, 1988, and 1992 (Restricted, Get Your Gear, G.I. Joe S.T.R.I.K.E., B.A.T.T.L.E., Operation Blackout, Mission Rescue: Code Blue, Terror on the Tundra).

  • Carded equipment from spring 1983. Reissued in mail offers 1985-1990 (Restricted, Operation Freedom 85, Three Exciting Missions, Maneuvers Manual, Chilling Events, Top Secret, Incredible Shrinking Joes). Beginning with the Maneuvers Manual, the Pack came with Starduster.
  • Related: A Rapid Deployment Force set was available in the 1993 mail offer Terrifying Lasers of Destruction. It included a black recolor of Pocket Patrol Pack along with reissues of Fast-Draw, Night Force Repeater, and Night Force Shockwave.
  • Collector's equipment; no animated appearances.

Skystriker Classic Marvel Comic Appearances

By my count, Skystrikers were discernible in 184 panels in 21 issues from Aug. 1983 to Aug. 1991: #14, 17, 18, 19, 30, 32, Yearbook 1, 34, 40, 41, 45, Order of Battle 2, SM 3, GIJTF 2, GIJTF 3, GIJTF 4, Order of Battle 4, SM 5, SM 12, SM 28, and 115.


Headquarters Command Center

The G.I. Joe Headquarters that appeared in the Sunbow series and in commercial animation (including the clip used for the Headquarters Command Center ad) had a similar silver-and-red color scheme, but otherwise it bore little resemblance to the toy.
