Notes: Sunbow's Viper Pilots had the same model as Cobra Troopers, but with a white Cobra insignia instead of red. One Pilot appears in the Falcon Glider/Viper Glider ad, but the only scene in the series where their use is clearly intentional is at the beginning of The Revenge of Cobra Part 1. Cobra Officers (with red insignia) were used for the Viper Glider sequence in A Real American Hero part 2, and all other appearances below are probably animation errors in which Cobra Troopers were left with uncolored (i.e. white) insignia for a single camera shot.
The Revenge of Cobra, Part 1 | 23 seconds | flying Viper Gliders against convoy
| Jungle Trap | 2 seconds | fleeing Cobra temple (19:46-47) [coloring error?]
| Haul Down the Heavens | 2 seconds | guarding Flint and Lady Jaye (10:36-37) [coloring error]
| The Funhouse | 2 seconds | running from Flint (5:18-19) [coloring error]
| The Invaders | 2 seconds | shot out of Trubble Bubbles near White House (18:30-31) [coloring error?]

Classic Marvel Comic Appearances
To my knowledge, Viper Pilots of this particular design did not appear in the vintage comic.

| One of the nameless, faceless legions of COBRA Command. Each COBRA is highly skilled in the use of explosives, all NATO and Warsaw Pact small arms, sabotage, and the martial arts. Qualified expert: Skorpion (VZOR61) Machine Pistol; Dragunov (SVD) Sniper's Rifle; Uzi Submachine Gun; M-16.
"COBRAS swear absolute loyalty to their fanatical leader... COBRA Commander. Their goal...to conquer the world for their own evil purpose!"
| Toy Notes: Item #6097-2. The chest insignia rubs off easily; a Viper Pilot with intact insignia is considered a high-demand item. Due to the resemblance, some collectors choose to think of the single-carded Cobra trooper from 2007 as a new version of Viper Pilot.
