He acted as Cobra's chief interrogator and science officer and was responsible for most of the second season's new weapons and experimental devices. In Spy Troops: The Movie he wore his 2003 outfit, and his 2004 outfit appeared in Valor vs. Venom.

| Dr. Mindbender was at one time an excellent orthodontist and a very kind and honest man. Tinkering with electric brainwave simulation as a means of relieving dental pain, the good doctor made the tragic mistake of experimenting on himself. He underwent a complete personality change and became hateful, deceitful, and vain!
Dr. Mindbender abandoned his practice and devoted all his time to perfecting his digital brain-scrambling into a hand-portable weapon system capable of reducing the most strong-willed individual into a cowering wimp.
"Dr. Mindbender doesn't think he's deluded - he feels he used to be. Now that he has seen the light, or the dark if you will, he feels it is his personal mission to bring the miracle of thought control to each and every one of you!"

| DR. MINDBENDER was at one time an excellent orthodontist and a very kind and honest man. His personality was drastically altered when he experimented on himself with electronic brainwave stimulation. He changed into an egotistical madman filled with hatred and deceit! Even COBRA COMMANDER disliked him and buried him in a tanker deep beneath a volcano on Cobra Island. After bionically enhancing his badly damaged body with various machine parts, he barely escaped with his life. He eventually proved himself worthy of Cobra Commander and re-enlisted as a member of Cobra.

| DR. MINDBENDER was once a kindly dentist who experimented on himself to find a way to lessen dental pain through brainwave stimulation. As a result, he underwent a complete personality change causing him to devote his life to evil and the complete suppression of humanity by electronic mind-control. After he joined COBRA, DR. MINDBENDER improved and perfected the "brainwave scanner" invented by the nefarious Dr. Venom, and used that device to brainwash anybody who opposed the policies of COBRA COMMANDER or neglected to brush after meals
Meticulous and fussy, DR. MINDBENDER is the type of person who eats pizza with a knife and fork. He has been known to participate in battles, but prefers to manipulate events from behind the scenes, preferably inside a bulletproof bunker. Independent thinkers with strong personalities give DR. MINDBENDER the hives, which is why he has had a long-standing personal antagonism towards BEACH HEAD.
"All these people running around willy-nilly, having their own opinions, and making up their own minds! It's hideously chaotic and totally unacceptable!"

| The originator of COBRA mind-control programs, DR. MINDBENDER turned his evil genius towards the creation of genetically altered super-warriors, perfecting a venom that adheres the DNA of the earth's most ferocious and dangerous animals to human DNA. The resulting hybrids are faster, stronger, and more resistant to pain than the normal human COBRA troopers. They also require less maintenance and don't seem to mind that they aren't being paid. DR. MINDBENDER was once a kindly orthodontist who, in his quest to relieve dental pain through mind-control, tested his brainwave scanner on himself and was turned into a malevolent maniac with definite anti-social tendencies. In COBRA COMMANDER, he found a perfect patron who shares his evil views and has unlimited funds to finance his wildest and most unnatural experiments.
