BAT II

Previous character: Dr. Link Talbot
Next character: Ninja Trooper

Animated Appearances

To my knowledge, BAT II's were never animated.

Headcanon

The BAT II was an internal upgrade of the BAT v3. It was introduced briefly in winter 1992-93 with the intelligence and communications capacity of the BAT v4, while the new model's physical components were still in development. Is appearance is represented by Version 1.

COBRA B.A.T. II v3.2 troops feature specialized interchangeable arms with built-in weapons modules. Currently the available modules are long-range laser rifle, grenade launcher, and long sword. A single COBRA B.A.T. II v3.2 trooper in the field is capable of changing arm modules by itself. The COBRA BAT II v3.2 trooper is capable of lying in ambush in a totally dormant state until its internal proximity sensors trigger it into action. Many of the bugs that plagued the earlier COBRA B.A.T. models have been corrected in the COBRA B.A.T. II v3.2, most notably a much-improved transponder system for identifying COBRA forces that has cut down the frequency of "friendly fire" accidents to an acceptable percentage.
"These aren't friendly little robots like you see in science fiction movies. The COBRA B.A.T. II v3.2 is closer to a power mower with heavy weapons."
Toy Notes: Carded in a two-pack with Cobra BAT (04/V). Item #03536.
