Falcon joins Sgt. Slaughter's Renegades in infiltrating the Terror Drome to learn Cobra's next move, while the B.E.T. is hidden at a civilian lab. The Renegades learn of an impending attack and destroy the Terror Drome on their way out. Cobra attacks the lab with support from Cobra-La, including monstrous wormlike marauders. When the Renegades arrive as reinforcements, Falcon challenges Serpentor as he is about to depart. Duke takes one of Serpentor's serpent-darts intended for Falcon and slips into a coma while Cobra gets away with the B.E.T.

Misc. Notes

  • The Movie first aired on television in its entirety on Saturday, April 18, 1987. It was released on VHS that August and entered rotation among the G.I. Joe series reruns as a five-part miniseries, beginning as early as September.
  • The transition from Part 4 to Part 5 comes at 1:10:20 on the Rhino DVD, just after Hawk says, "Yo Joe."
  • Per Buzz Dixon, Duke was originally to die from his wound, but this was changed after mixed reactions to Optimus Prime's death in The Transformers: The Movie. Lines were added to the film to explain that Duke was only in a coma and has regained consciousness by the end of the film.
