Notes: Sunbow's Doc wore his 1983 outfit, often without his helmet, and his belt usually lacked the white pouches. Despite his filecard, Doc was not identified as a pacifist on the cartoon. That role went to Lifeline, although Doc was rarely shown operating any form of weaponry.

An avowed pacifist, Doc believes that "the G.I. Joe team is the best we have. We send them into the worst situations imaginable because that's where we need them most. When the going gets rough, they need something more than a pill-roller. I'm their main man!"
| Toy Notes: Featured in 1983's Polar Battle Bear commercial. In the 1983 catalog, Doc lacks both the cross on his right shoulder and the strap on his flare launcher. Item #6415.
| Reissues: Reissued in fall 1983 in a J.C. Penney three-pack with Gung-Ho and Airborne. Doc was also reissued in mail offers 1985-1986 (Get Your Gear, Operation Freedom 85 and 86).
