Trakker

(aka Specialist Trakker, not to be confused with 1991's Tracker)

File Name: Matt Trakker, birthplace classified on filecard
Grade: not listed on filecard, but Army specialist is E-4.
SN: classified on filecard

Previous character: Cobra Pilot
Next character: Hard Master

Animated Appearances

To my knowledge, Trakker was never animated for G.I. Joe. He was the lead character in DiC's animated series MASK, which aired in 1985 and 1986. His voice in that series was provided by Doug Stone.

Headcanon

Born July 21, 1945, born in Ideal, South Dakota. The son of farmers, Trakker grew up around mechanical equipment and became enamored with advanced technology while studying at the North Dakota State College of Science. After leading the defeat of the small-time criminal organization VENOM (unaffiliated with Cobra in my headcanon), he teamed up with G.I. Joe for three missions in 1986. His appearance is represented by Version 1.

SPECIALIST TRAKKER leads a secret unit which develops ordinary-looking vehicles that convert into advanced combat vehicles. Joining forces with the G.I. JOE team, the Mobile Armored Strike Kommand (M.A.S.K.) team battles V.E.N.O.M. (Vicious Evil Network of Mayhem), the unit COBRA formed to construct its own converting vehicles. SPECIALIST TRAKKER uses his next-gen technological devices to preserve peace throughout the world and stop the corrupt forces that are using the same technology to amass power in a quest to control the world.
"We have a responsibility to use our ingenuity and advancements to help the world - and stop the power-hungry despots and criminals who hunger for their own glory."
Toy Notes: Item #36140. The first official crossover to G.I. Joe from a competing toy line. Kenner's M.A.S.K. toys and their DiC animated series were released in 1985 and 1986, combining the anti-terrorist action concept with low-price-point transforming vehicles.
