G.I. Joe attacks Cobra Base Crocodile Zebra, and Cobra Commander is shot down over the jungle. Pathfinder parachutes down and finds him, handcuffing himself to the Commander to bring him in. He loses contact with Lady Jaye due to a broken radio and drags the Commander back toward the Cobra base in hope of contacting her. As they trek through the jungle, they are followed by an angry lion whose cub got too close to Pathfinder, and an amorous gorilla with its eye on the Commander. Meanwhile, Night Creeper Leader and his men search for Cobra Commander.
Other Joes and Cobras join the search. The handcuffed duo cross a river and deal with a snake before finally reaching Cobra's base. The Night Creepers are waiting for them and cut the cuffs, but the pursuing animals provide enough distraction for Pathfinder to repair a radio and call in Lady Jaye and the Joes. Cobra attacks the incoming forces, and in the ensuing chaos Cobra Commander escapes.
