Lifeline brings several Joes to his sister's wedding, though awkwardly since his pacifist family disapproves of his military career. Roadblock is kidnapped by the Dreadnoks, and the others are tagged with chips that allow Dr. Mindbender to control their emotions by playing a pipe organ. Nearby, Hawk leads a team of Joes testing weapons, and they are tagged as well. Mindbender causes the Joes to disrupt the wedding and hijack a trolley. The Dreadnoks lead Hawk's team into the trolley's path, but Lift-Ticket overcomes the effects enough to stop the trolley.
While the Joes' behavior causes turmoil with Lifeline's family, the Joes are immobilized with fear during a Cobra attack. Lifeline manages to rescue the Joes, and they guess Cobra's involvement. The Joes stage a night attack, resisting the chips' influence. In anger, Serpentor smashes the mood organ, and freed of its signal, Roadblock escapes. The wedding is then held successfully.
