As the Joes help Dr. Mullaney work on a new nitrogen engine, Leatherneck, Wet-Suit, and Dial-Tone arrange for dates at a new night club with three of Dial-Tone's female friends. Serpentor suddenly takes over the video screen and pronounces the club-goers hostages, as the night club rockets into space. He then contacts Joe Headquarters and threatens to destroy the club unless the Joes turn over Dr. Mullaney.
Dial-Tone manages to contact HQ, and Wet-Suit attempts to disarm explosives on the outside of the club. He faints near the end, but Leatherneck is able to finish the job. Meanwhile, Mullaney insists on surrendering to Cobra, and Serpentor puts him to work producing fuel for the Firebats. Mainframe walks the Joes on the club through returning to earth, and Cobra predictably attacks the landing site. But the Firebats go down in flames because of flaws in Mullaney's design, and Mullaney is returned unharmed.
