A G.I. Joe Battle Platform uses robot subs to try retrieving a downed space probe containing a vital antimatter pod. Cobra attacks, but the subs are reprogrammed to drive them off. Cobra then recruits the Dreadnoks to steal the subs' control codes from Joe Headquarters. Zandar's effort fails, so Zarana poses as computer specialist Sgt. Carol Weedler. Mainframe saves her from an accident, and she develops feelings for him, but Zartan attacks the Joes' diner to hurry her mission, so she reluctantly electrocutes Mainframe and reprograms the subs for Cobra.
The Dreadnoks break in to extract Zarana and leave a bomb on Mainframe's unconscious body, but she returns to save him, and he allows her to escape. An impatient Serpentor has Cobra's main helicarrier attack to destroy the antimatter sub, as the robot subs begin chewing through the hull of the U.S.S. Flagg. The battle concludes with the helicarrier colliding with the Flagg and both sinking to the bottom of the ocean.

Misc. Notes
- On the DVDs from Shout! Factory, this episode is included in the Season 2.0 set (Disc 1, Episode 7).
- The connection between Mainframe and Zarana reappears in Grey Hairs and Growing Pains.
- The episode's production number places it between The Invaders and Cold Slither, so it may have originally been conceived as a season-1 episode with different featured characters.
