Cold Shoulder

Rampart and Capt. Krimov pilot a space shuttle to place a defense satellite in orbit. Prior to launch, Night Creeper Leader plants a device on the shuttle, unnoticed by Sgt. Slaughter, Sub-Zero, and Stretcher, who are monitoring the launch from an arctic tracking station. Cobra uses the device to cut off the shuttle's communications and land the shuttle, injuring Rampart. Cobra fends off a Joe rendezvous team and swallows the shuttle with a giant shark-shaped snow tank.

As Stretcher and Sub-Zero search for Cobra's base, Cobra forces the captured pilots to disarm the satellite's self-destruct mechanism, and then releases a polar bear. The Joes smash into the base, but the polar bear recognizes Sub-Zero, who once took care of him as a cub. Boarding the shuttle, Rampart uses the satellite to attack Cobra inside the base as the polar bear turns on Cobra's leaders. The Joes drive the shuttle out of the base as it caves in.
