The BATs overrun the tomb of Ivan the Terrible, allowing a Snow Serpent to steal his DNA. A Joe water team also fails to prevent Destro from capturing the DNA of Alexander the Great. Sgt. Slaughter's team is attacked by Dr. Mindbender and the Crimson Twins on the way to Sun Tzu's burial mound. Slaughter makes his way onto Mindbender's Trubble Bubble as Hawk's reinforcements arrive by plane. Cobra escapes, but Slaughter grabs the unit containing Sun Tzu's DNA, allowing the Joes to analyze it. Meanwhile, Beach Head and Mainframe are pulled alive from the rubble of Vlad Tepes' castle.
Dr. Mindbender decides to replace Sun Tzu's DNA with Sgt. Slaughter. The Joes gather for a strong defense of Genghis Khan's mausoleum, as Doc and Lifeline's analysis of the DNA box leads them to surmise Cobra aims to create super soldiers. Cobra launches a short attack and quickly retreats, and that night Cobra's VTOL cargo plane looks about to crash into the tomb. The Joes evacuate, allowing the plane to recover and extract Khan's sarcophagus, and Sgt. Slaughter along with it. Aboard the plane, Slaughter is swarmed by Cobra B.A.T.s.
