Episode 125: "A Hearth's Warming Tail"

Aired 5/14/2016, written by Mike Vogel (his first episode)
Quick Take: MLP's full take on A Christmas Carol. Starlight provides a believable framing story that allows for some fun play with the fourth wall. MLP's maturity as a series really shows here. Every song is memorable and catchy, there are a ton of clever gags in the animation, ranging from subtle to front-and-center, and every one of them delightful, and Luna's scene is fantastically chilling. Another superb episode, the third such wonder of the season.
By the way, time is really flying within the MLP universe. The winters of Tanks for the Memories, Hearthbreakers, and this episode mean we've traversed over two full years since the introduction of Starlight's character, even though Dash's second-season acquiring of Tank occurred less than a year before that.
